Item Description

Murdochite is a RARE lead, copper oxyhalide and this rich and showy combination thumbnail hails from Bisbee, Arizona. Sparkly, black, murdochite microcrystals richly cover the gossan matrix crust and are very nicely accented by the green malachite. Murdochite was not identified until 1953 from the famous Mammoth-St. Anthony Mine at Tiger. Ex Carl Davis Collection.
