Aesthetically intergrown "books" of hexagonal, lustrous pearlescent brown stepped-growth muscovite plates form a sculptural two-sided specimen from this famous emerald and hiddenite deposit. Muscovite of this quality is rare and is seldom on the market. Formerly in the collection of Terry Ledford, well-known North Carolina specimen miner and mineral dealer, who died tragically in an emerald mining accident in 2014.
