The Hogg Mine in Georgia is one of only two major USA localities for gem quality material, and this is a highly important, museum-worthy stone. A highly translucent, high-dome pink cabochon with a medium-strong star under strong pointed light. Comes with a letter of provenance from the cutter and mine owner who verifies that this is the largest and finest example ever cut from the locale. The star effect in a rose quartz is particularly desirable, so this is an extra bonus to this important cabochon, for any collector valuing the USA origin of material. Valued $2500-plus, 230 carats.
