Mustard Jasper

I am told that Mustard Jasper is only found in Indonesia. It is mined from the top of an active volcano. This "Oval Cabochon" cut stone features a beautiful bright yellow "core" which is surrounded by a thin dark greenish-black "ring" and set against a soft "moss green" color background. A lovely gem of this uncommon material, and certainly some of the most interesting and eye-catching Jasper that I have seen from anywhere.
