Item Description

This extinct Cornwall aggregate quarry close to the ocean is known for an interesting assemblage of metallic mineral species, including native bismuth, plus chalcedony and scheelite. Three sides of the lustrous, translucent quartz vein host laminar sections of bright metallic-gray native bismuth. The richer bismuth vein on the end face also hosts RARE bright golden iridescent chalcopyrite. Comes with an old label from respected Cornwall dealer, Nick Carruth. Just a rare locality specimen for a reference collection, as these are hard to come by.
