Item Description

A hard to find specimen of the rarely seen pieces of Native Iron from the Khungtukun Massif in Siberia. This piece is a rarely seen UN-polished specimen which allows the natural oxidized state of the Iron to show through. You can see small areas of Iron throughout the host rock matrix on this attractive and fairly rare specimen from Russia. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#12794). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
