Natrolite

Item Description

Excellent specimen of the zeolite Natrolite from the Old Springfield Butte Quarry in Oregon. The Natrolite occurs in acicular, radial balls up to nearly 1 cm across, and the piece is pristine save for the contacted edges. However, these contacts dramatically show the radial nature of the spheres, and with superb pearly luster, to boot. The acicular Natrolite needles reach up to about up to about 5 mm in length. A superb and aesthetic small cabinet specimen.
