Item Description

A rare combination of distinctive, sharp Nepheline crystals resting on what may be a matrix of the rare black Garnet species, Schorlomite. Nepheline is an uncommon sodium potassium silicate and the crystals here are quite sharp. The largest is a tabular prism 1.6 cm long and 1.2 cm wide, with a matte luster and color best described as bone grey. The matrix appears to be very lustrous, black crystals Schlorlomite. Matrix or not, the Nepheline crystals are very high quality, and the aesthetics are very good.
