Item Description
A RARE, old polished globular thumbnail nodule of translucent high grade green nephrite jade from this well-known locale. Nephrite of this high quality and translucence is very rare today and is seldom on the market. Ex Lee Areson Collection, a New York mineral dealer who passed away in 1987. The Perky Box with the piece has a The Brauns label, Connecticute mineral dealers, and dates from 1959 to about 1967. See the Mineralogicial Record Biographical Archive for both dealers.
