Item Description

Three lustrous, jet-black neptunite crystals are aesthetically set on blocky blue-gray small cabinet serpentine matrix strikingly contrasted with patches of snow-white natrolite from the famous New Idria area of San Benito County, near the famous Dallas Gem Mine (Benitoite & Neptunite). The beautiful and sculptural well-placed doubly terminated parallel-growth crystal is 2.3 cm long. Ex Bob Reynolds Collection, a well-known fossil and mineral expert and Curator of the San Bernardino County Museum. He passed away in 2020. The piece displays well without aid. Classic, excellent and showy neptunite and natrolite.
