Ocean Jasper

Orbicular Jasper is the name given to Jasper multi-color, banded "orbs" in its interior. Ocean Jasper is a kind of Orbicular Jasper that is found in small pools in northeastern Madagascar. The material forms in radial aggregates where small "seed" crystals of Quartz or Feldspar create the rounded shapes seen when these stones are cut and polished. This "Pear Cabochon" cut stone has a lovely color combination of cream, olive and yellow-gold hues. A great Ocean Jasper for any collector.
