Okenite and Calcite circa 1980s

A 1980s classic we seldom see today in good form, this is a special piece with glistening "puffballs" or cotton-ball shaped sprays of soft okenite crystals, set on sparkling matrix of microcrystalline calcite. Accents are sharp brown, gemmy, calcite crystals scattered around. The okenite balls steal the show though, from 1-3 cm, and mostly free of damage. These are fragile. If you touch them, they die. And yet these have survived since the 1980s when I used to see them at shows and buy them as a kid. Few large pieces of this style turn up anymore, only in old collections. Also, it happens to be a gorgeously arrayed and laid out plate. We cannot ship this...but it can be hand delivered most places; so we ask that only bidders in the USA and who could go to Munich show; or who can meet me in China, bid on this. A historic Indian specimen, but also the world's best examples of a VERY rare species we treasure, but seldom see.
