Item Description

A large and showy specimen of acicular, dark green, needle-like crystals on matrix from this old locality. It has passed through several prominent collections over the last 50 years, indicating its desirability. Large, rich specimens of this more rare style of olivenite from the old cornish district, are hard to come by. The specimen carries collection labels from Dr. Ed David, who bought it from William Pinch, and also fro mthe bp Gamble and Nick Carruth collections. It was valued at $2500 in the sale of the Ed David collection
