Item Description

A cute ball of very glassy and gemmy, rose-brown, elongated orthorhombic crystals of olmiite from the NEW, Fall 2008 find at the famous Nchwaning II Mine of South Africa. A small bit of bruising, near the crest, is hidden on the back and is out of sight. This is a excellent example from this find and it really glows a beautiful rose-red with good light. Olmiite was formerly known as poldervaartite, prior to recent extensive testing.
