Opal (Triplet)

Item Description

Opal is a very diverse gems out there due to the fact that it's one of the few stones that looks just as attractive when it's crystal clear as it does when the stones are opaque. The chemistry of Opal is essentially Quartz with water content, which allows for the brilliant multi-color appearance of the material. This "Oval" shaped gem is shows flashes of red, orange, gold, blue, yellow and green, set against a silvery background. When this stone is strongly lit, it shows great color. Please note that this stone is a triplet, and is set with a Quartz cap and against a backing to help allow the color to better show through. Enjoy.
