Item Description

A striking specimen of a pineapple-like ball of creedite. It is covered with gemmy, rich burnt-orange crystals from the recent of August, 2009 find. The crystals reach 1.6 cm and the uniform rich orange is UNCOMMON for the find. This particular piece does have a contacted base, just a few broken broken crystals and a bit of periphery wear on one out of sight side, but these are only a very modest detractions. This is a very showy, puffball-like cluster of creedite crystals with richer than normal orange color. The creedite crystals in this find are generally larger and gemmier, than earlier finds. STRIKING. A piece of higher than normally seen quality, from the noted Mexico Collection of Jason New (who highgraded the lot as it came from the mine, which his company controlled at the time).
