The Pargasites from Ali Abad are the finest color examples of the species I've seen. The intense green color combined with the fact that the crystals are notably well-formed makes them truly stunning for the species. This attractive small cabinet display specimen features a few fine quality, sharp, highly lustrous, translucent Pargasite crystals with startling neon-green color aesthetically set on the marble matrix. The largest crystal on the piece measures a full 2.8 cm, which is incredibly good sized for the locality. Pargasite is an uncommon very complex silicate species and is usually a rather dull, unattractive, dark-colored rock-former, but these pieces from Pakistan set a new standard for the species. Such specimens were collected in the late 1990s to early 2000s, with none since. An excellent example of the species and locality. Valued at $1,750 in the inventory.
