Pargasite is an uncommon amphibole group species and this extremely rich and showy specimen is from the Type Locality - Pargas, Finland. Splendent, jet-black, pargasite prisms to 2.0 cm (large for the locale) are richly embedded on all sides of the blocky calcite and quartz matrix. Classic, older material. This is an outstanding, very rich and uncommon example of this species from the Howard Belsky Collection. Try to find another of this richness, crystal size and quality. Valued at $750.
