Item Description

Parvowinchite is a very rare amphibole group species. It was formerly known as tirodite, until 1997. This is a superb example for the species and obscure Type Locality in India. A 3.3 cm starburst of pearlescent, straw-yellow lathes is accented with a few lustrous, jet-black, braunite crystals. The lathes reach 1.3 cm, which is extremely large for ANY locale. Ex John White Collection of Seattle. According to his label, he bought this in 1968. Faint red fluorescence.
