Item Description

If it were not for the Deccan Trap in India, I don't think many people would know about Pentagonite. Clearly the finest examples of this mineral are found at Wagholi. It is certainly a popular species for collectors due to the intense electric blue color. This small cabinet specimen features an attractive, good sized, beautiful, sharp, neon blue aggregate of Pentagonite measuring 2.6 cm across aesthetically perched atop matrix. There are a few small contacts, but for the most part, the aggregate is undamaged. A very showy and good quality specimen of this rare material. I feel these Pentagonites are not appreciated enough due to the fact they are still available on the market, but you can't find better specimens anywhere. Like Adamite from the Ojuela Mine or Fluorites from Southern Illinois, they were undervalued back in the day due to their abundance, but have increased dramatically in value now that no more are being found.
