Item Description

A gorgeous, 2.5 cm, spray of neon-blue, pentagonite needles is protected in the sculptural vug lined with contrasting mordenite on this excellent specimen from the famed Wagholi Quarry. These pentagonite specimens are truly one of the most significant recent finds from the Deccan Trapps of India. Undoubtedly the very finest Pentagonite specimens in the world occur at this locality. The few broken needles are certainly a modest detraction. A very showy and good quality specimen of this extremely rare (and underappreciated) material. Four sides have been sawed to enhance the fine display quality. Ex Zukowski Collection.
