Item Description

Peridot is a well-known gem, known for thousands of years. It was beloved by the ancient Egyptians who mined the stone on the island of Zebargad. After the fall of the Egyptian Empire, knowledge of the island was lost for centuries, and it was only rediscovered in 1906. Peridot the birthstone for August, but it is limited in terms of places where gem quality was found. The world's supply of gem material received a serious boost about 25 years ago when the first great gem Peridot crystals started coming out of Pakistan. This material is some of the finest color I've seen for Peridot and the sheer size of some of the gems that have come out is amazing. Here we have a 15-stone set of beautiful "Oval Brilliant" cut Peridot gems with vibrant and lively green hues. Amazingly, the stones are all virtually identical in color, which is hard to get in any multi-stone set of gems. Fine quality to be sure. These stones could be set into a beautiful bracelet, or you make a full jewelry set out of them with matching, earrings, pendant and a ring. Priced at $837.85 retail.
