Item Description

Most people are familiar with Peridot, and while it is considered to be a common gem, there are honestly only a few places in the world where fine quality gem material is found. Prior to the 1990s, the majority of the good Peridot gems came from Arizona. Then fine gem quality Peridot started coming out of Pakistan about 30 years ago, and it really gave the market a shot in the arm. Not only was the color and quality of this material superb, but it also produced some large impressive gems as well. Here we have a large "Oval Brilliant" cut gem with glowing electric green color. The fact that it's over 7 carats is a really big deal, and combined with the fact that the stone is very slightly included makes it an excellent gem for a collector or a piece of jewelry. A great deal for the starting bid as it was priced at $1,825.00 retail in the inventory.
