Item Description

An old classic for this rare species, this is a fine pair of lustrous Perovskite crystals intergrown with micro, green Clinochlore and possibly Diopside. The luster on the Perovskite is excellent, with the largest crystal being 2.2 cm. The surfaces of the crystals are actually quite complex, and the crystals are partially complete. Clinochlore is a green member of the Chlorite group. The Perovskites are well isolated and sharply formed. Really, a top-notch specimen for the individual species and the combination. This is the Type Locality for Perovskite. Valued $500
