Item Description

Perovskite is an uncommon titanium oxide and this showy and excellent combination specimen is from a classic US locale - Perovskite Hill, Magnet Cove. Two, splendent, jet-black, interpenetrating twinned perovskite crystals are aesthetically perched atop a lustrous, metallic-gray magnetite crystal. Complete all-around and nearly pristine, the magnetite is pristine and a bit of edgewear is noted to the perovskite crystals, which is very minimally detracting. This very fine specimen is from the Clyde Hardin Collection, and was self-collected in 1976. Specimens of this combination quality are uncommon.
