Item Description
South Park is a grassland flat within the basin formed by the Mosquito and Park Mountain Ranges of the Rocky Mountains of Colorado (about 60 miles south of Denver). This piece was collected by Adam Sotomayor in South Park a few years ago. It shows well-defined, striated growth and is very well-preserved for the material. I don't know the age of the piece, but it looks beautiful up close with soft beige and brown hues. It even shows an interesting fluorescence under UV light.
