Item Description

Supreb pink radial "sprays" of what was labeled as being Pharmacolite are coating the underlying matrix from this former German locality (now in Poland). Mindat states that Pharmacolite is not actually valid from this locality, so this could possibly be Alumohydrocalcite, but we can't say for certain. The piece comes with an old label from Ward's minerals in Rochester, which also states it's Pharmacolite. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#6195). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Velt" November-December 2017).
