Phenakite is a species that is found in a wide range of crystal habits from rhombs to prisms to tabular and elongated twins. Some of the most attractive gem quality Phenakite crystals have been recently found in the Mogok Valley of Myanmar (Burma). This fantastic thumbnail specimen is a superb, beautiful, water-clear, sharply terminated, gem "drillbit"-twinned Phenakite crystal from Ohngaing. You can see very slight reentant faces on the termination of the crystal, creating a unique effect, rarely seen in Phenakite, let alone GEM quality crystals.
