Item Description

Phosphophyllite, with its unique blue-green color and gemminess, is one of the rarest and most desirable mineral species in the world - definitely a "Holy Grail" species. This rare, larger matrix specimen, from a recent find features a large, 1.9 cm, isolated, cleaved crystal and a 3.0 cm long, 2-8 mm thick vein of phosphophyllite sandwiched between the sulfide and quartz-rich matrix. A good reference piece. And it is a matrix specimen, which is uncommon in itself.
