Phurcalite is an uncommon hydrated copper uranium phosphate, and this piece is a large plate of display quality, from one of the best-known localities for the species. The matrix plate consists of a fine-grained sandstone, and it features a layer of green Malachite, which is then coated with yellow patches of the uranium mineral Phurcalite. A large and rare piece.
