Pink Fluorite (fluorescent)

A very rare, dramatic and excellent fluorite plate with more ISOLATED pink octahedrons. Every other specimen, except one, we have offered at auction from this find has been covered with fluorite crystals, with no separation. Until these lustrous, translucent, pink fluorites were discovered in Mexico, Peru and the Alps were the only sources for pink fluorite, and the cost of a specimen such as this was (and still is) astronomical from those localities. This outstanding pristine piece hosts octahedrons to 2.1 cm. The octos have vivid, deep pink color against the beautifully contrasting white matrix. This is definitely a unique piece we have offered at auction. Super purple fluorescence.
