Pink Heulandite

Item Description

This Trap Rock locality is one of the most impressive (and under appreciated) localities in the world. This quarry has produced some amazing specimens in the last 100 years. This specimen features some great pink color Heulandite (especially for New Jersey) which are "dusted" with white Laumontite and accented by a small green Prehnite "sphere" on the side. The final touch to the piece is that the Prehnite is actually sitting in a "cast" of Heulandite that replaced preexisting Anhydrite. The Heuldnaite crystals are extremely attractive with excellent luster and great form. You don't see many specimens of this material on the market these days, especially with this pink color. A good display specimen from this historic east coast locality.
