Pink Sapphire (large and superb!)

A sculptural upright, cluster of GORGEOUS, pink sapphire crystals stacked one upon the other from now-classic finds at Luc Yen, Vietnam that really brought the district to our attention about 5-6 years ago. I paid well over $1000 for this myself at the time, sold it, and traded it back recently. These sharp, gemmy and lustrous crystals have some beautifully striated faces. The two, UNRETOUCHED backlit photos highlight the fabulous color saturation and gemminess of these corundum crystals - for technical reasons called pink sapphires rather than ruby. Seldom on the market in this size and quality from this locality. Valued at $2500. Note these came out 5-6 years ago! I have not seen a large example of this style from recent production.
