Plumbogummite ps after Pyromorphite

Large and aesthetic, powder-blue replacement of Plumbogummite on a green-yellow core of primary Pyromorphite XL. Looking closely at this piece and many others from the Yangshuo Mine, the original, hoppered Pyromorphite is partially resorbed or etched (accentuating the skeletal nature) then replaced by Plumbogummite to varying degrees. This particular piece displays that paragenesis well and the adjacent Pyromorphite crystal has been broken, probably by pocket rupture, rehealed and then locally replaced by Plumbogummite. The Large Pyromorphite exhibits this texture as well as can be observed on the backside. The replacement rim of Plumbogummite on this piece is actually <1mm! The specimen displays differently from front to back showing a stark contrast! This is a superb toenail, a size that is very rare for this find! One small crystal on the backside shows contacting.
