Plumbogummite pseudomorphing after Pyromorphite

Here we have a fine quality small cabinet specimen of this now classic material from the now famous discovery at the Yangshuo Mine, with some of the best form and the richest color seen for the species from any locality in the world. This small cabinet piece is filled with slightly velvety, botryoidal, translucent, gorgeous rich blue colored Plumbogummite which are replacing underlying greenish-yellow Pyromorphite on matrix. The largest "ball" measures about 5 mm across. Nearly every "ball" is undamaged, the only real roughness is around the periphery where the piece was removed from the pocket wall. Valued at $1,500 in the inventory. These specimens seemed to have quickly disappeared from the market, and if you're a collector of Chinese minerals, secondary ore minerals, or just pseudomorphs, you NEED to have one of these in your collection. Unique material, and just one of the many examples of the fantastic minerals to come out of China in the last 15 years or so.
