Item Description

A rare and showy old-time polished slab of banded malachite with nifty "eyes" on both sides from the historic copper mines of the Urals, which produced the malachite for the fantastic large urns and for decorative work for Imperial Russia. Seldom available old-time material from an East Coast collection and comes with a John Albanese label dating from 1953-68. Dense lapidiary grade material with 130 grams mass.
