Polished rhodochrosite stalactite slabs from the famous Capillatas Mine of this complexity and quality are seen around still, though the heyday seems past. Most are big. Smaller, collector-sized examples like this in quality are actually very uncommon, indeed. The exterior rind on front of this aesthetic slab is essentially pristine. The pretty, rose-red, banded stalactities are classic. The complexity of the intergrown stalactites is super. Older material from the 1980s finds. Ex Robert Nowakowski Collection.
