Seldom seen in such size, this is an important powellite of high visual impact, as well! Unusually colored a pleasing tan color, with good luster and translucence, this radiating cluster of powellite has crystals exceeding 4 cm in length. Most Indian powellite crystals are small?this is more powellite than you normally see in a whole pocket of the stuff, as it usually occurs as small crystals on apophyllite. Powellite is strongly fluorescent, but I would buy this for its overall significance in an Indian suite, and for the species, aside from its actualy beauty in either light spectrum.
