Item Description
Over the last few years, we've seen some world-classic Opals coming out of Ethiopia. These gems rival some of the top Opal gems from places like Australia and Mexico for color and gemminess This "oval cabochon" cut gem is a fantastic example of this material featuring a golden background that hosts an amazing array of color flash ranging from green to gold to orange to red and purple when rotated in the light. It's an impressive stone, and would make for a great piece of jewelry, or would stand on its own as a beautiful gem. This a solid Opal, not a doublet or triplet, which is important when it comes to value, and the stone is completely untreated.
