Item Description

An excellent two-piece deal of precious opal fossilizing tree limb sections from the famous Virgin Valley of Nevada. The transparent, waxy lustre exteriors have subtle hints of classic purple, green and orange color, when rotated. Interestingly, both sections have a translucent interior white-walled sheath with a gemmy creamy core. These are highly unusual and outstanding opalized tree limb sections from the well-known locale. Total mass is 60.13 carats or just over 12 grams. Ex Glenn Vargas and George Elling Collections.
