Prehnite

Prehnite has always been a popular gem among collectors because of its lovely green color. Recently the new Prehnite discovery in Mali has produced some great cabbing and carving material. This material, when carved, has a very unique and attractive "soft" almost "velvety" appearance. This "Round Cabochon" cut gem has good clarity for the material, as the vast majority of it is rather included. This is a good size stone and considering it is relatively new, it's a great gem to fill a spot in your collection.
