Prehnite

Prehnite has always been a popular gem among collectors because of its lovely green color. Recently the new Prehnite discovery in Mali has produced some great cabbing and carving material, but rarely is the material faceted. This material, when carved, has a very unique and attractive "soft" almost "velvety" appearance. This gem is pretty good size for the material, and is translucent, which is common for this material. It has a "Checkerboard Oval" cut. Considering this is relatively new material, it's a great gem to fill a spot in your collection.
