An excellent American prehnite, out of the Schlichter Collection. Unusual for its form, this is a two-sided, bowel-like crust consisting of hundreds of prehnite balls. The color is the pea-green, and since the balls have formed a sort of thin wall, they are translucent. Nearly a floater, with only a small attachment at the base and trivial periphery wear. Classic Connecticut prehnite.
