Prehnite (ex Kay Robertson Collection)

Item Description

Attractive, "fan"-shaped radial groups of translucent white to yellow colored Prehnite measuring up to 1.3 cm on matrix from the Montijos Quarry. This is classic material, and very hard to find on the market since the quarry has now been closed since the 1970s. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#10478). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
