Prehnite (unusual and rare color)

Item Description

This famous, now extinct quarry has produced some amazing specimens in the last 100 years, including some impressive prehnite specimens. Prehnites from Prospect Park are typically green, and rarely yellow or blue, but orange is not common. This particular specimen is an unusual piece consisting soft yellow-orange, sharply crystallized groups of prehnite on minor matrix. The large scultpural crust was collected circa 1950-1965.
