Item Description

This is a fine, good-sized, group Prehnite in which "clamshell-shaped" crystals have grown together to form an attractive spherical cluster. The color is unusual for the locality as its much more of a yellow hue than the typical mint green color we're used to seeing for Prehnite from Goboboseb. The piece has good translucence when backlit, and if you collect thumbnails, African minerals or worldwide Prehnites, don't miss out on this attractive and unusual example from this classic locality. Ex Charlie Key collection. Charlie is one of the most prolific mineral dealers in the history of the business and is the namesake for two species: Keyite and Ludlockite.
