Item Description

Pretulite is a very rare scandium phosphate and this well-known Austrian locale is the Type Locality. Yellow crystals, to less than 1 mm, are noted especially on the broken end of the oxide-coated quartz wedge and scattered on the quartz on both sides of the wedge below the contact of the rich crust of indigo-blue lazulite. This is a very rich and rare example of both species from this locale.
