Resplendent specimen of Primary Malachite (not formed after Azurite replacement, in other words) crystals. Actually such crystals are quite rare and in this size come from only a few locales. Crystals of primary Malachite have a beauty all their own. These stacked curved blades up to 1.6 cm on edge have a gorgeous deep forest green color, superb luster, and any edgewear is minimal. Layered on some of the surfaces of these crystals is a second generation of iridescent, velvety Malachite, and this velvet coating is complemented beautifully by some of the side faces having a brilliant, mirror-like luster. The piece has a balance and beauty beyond what the very good pics can adequately capture. This is exceptional and very aesthetic.
