Pseudoboleite on Boleite

Rare and desirable silver species rarity: this shows off a 5 mm, highly lustrous, beautiful indigo-blue crystal. This simple cube is not so simple. Actually it consists of two layers and two species: the pseudoboleite epitaxially (meaning, with oriented growth) grown on athe cubic faces of a cubic boleite crystal. It is aesthetically set on the small cabinet clay matrix. The stepped-growth faces are diagnostic of the pseudoboleite epitaxial on the boleite cube, and well known from old finds of the turn of the 1900s and again in the 1970s.
