Item Description

Two impressive sharp pseudocubic wulfenite crystals dominate this sculptural and excellent small cabinet from the well-known 2008 find at the famed Mina Ojuela. The striking freestanding prism is 1.6 cm tall and the secondary crystal nicely nestled in the vug is 1.4 cm tall. The juicy, translucent, multi-hued caramel-colored crystals are aesthetically accompanied by smaller pseudocubic and bipyramidal wulfies and a couple of contrasting patches of pretty translucent, apple-green botryoidal mimetite on the sturdy gossan matrix. Ex Bob Reynolds Collection, a well-known fossil and mineral expert and Curator of the San Bernardino County Museum. He passed away in 2020. This showy and excellent piece has fine form and crystal distribution. A classic example from the find.
